Free audiovisual production workshop | September 3–10, 2026
Memory Full | Animation Lab is a free workshop by Lapazio Film for filmmakers and creative teams interested in exploring the theme of memory through short films created using animation techniques (2D, 3D, rotoscoping, stop-motion, etc.) combined with recovery devices (handycams, old mobile phones, camcorders, etc.) and/or archival materials (photographs, tapes, film reels, digital files, etc.), including materials from AAMOD | Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico.
Who can apply
The workshop is open to filmmakers and authors aged 18 and over, both Italian and international, with short-film projects that are partially or entirely animated, at any stage (development, production, or post-production), with no restrictions on genre, format, or technique (fiction, documentary, video art, experimental, AI, etc.).
Workshop Structure
Initial phase: online mentoring (September 3, 2026)
Intermediate phase: independent work (September 4–6, 2026)
Final phase: mentoring sessions, hands-on work, and a final presentation of the works in progress (September 7–10, 2026)
Awards
At the end of the programme, two awards will be presented: an award offered by Lapazio Film, consisting of sound design and mastering services worth €6.000, and an award offered by Cattive Produzioni, consisting of distribution services.
