The Memory Full | Audiovisual Experimental Lab is Lapazio Film’s free workshop for filmmakers and creative teams who want to explore the theme of memory through short films made using recycled devices (handycams, old phones, camcorders, etc.) and/or archival materials (photos, tapes, film, digital files, etc.).
Memory Full | Audiovisual Experimental Lab is Lapazio Film’s free workshop for filmmakers and creative teams who want to explore the theme of memory through short films made using recycled devices (handycams, old mobile phones, camcorders, etc.) and/or archival materials (photos, tapes, film reels, digital files, etc.), including those from AAMOD | Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico.
Who can participate
Open to filmmakers and authors aged 18 and over, Italian or international, with short film projects at any stage (development, production, post-production).
All genres, formats, and techniques are welcome – documentary, animation, video art, experimental, AI, and more.
Workshop structure
Initial phase: online mentoring (November 12, 2025)
Intermediate phase: independent remote work (November 13-20, 2025)
Final phase: mentoring sessions, practical work, and final showcase of the projects (November 21–23, 2025).
Award
The best project will receive the Lapazio Film Award, consisting of post-production services (color correction, sound design, and finalization) worth €6.000.
